VEHICLE EVALUATION cont.

The vehicle evaluation page shows you a list of parts with their appropriate Hollander and RAS item descriptions to help determine each parts identity. You also have the core value of each part offered by RAS. These core values will help you determine if it is cost effective for you to remove the cores from the vehicle.

You will notice that some of the parts will have an additional description in [ ]. In these circumstances it is necessary to locate a Cast or OEM number on the part in order for it to be worth the price offered.

Check all of the parts you wish to remove, enter the Stock Number, Dismantler, any notes or special instructions, then check that you have read and agree with the RAS Material Requirements (see next page). After this information has been entered click the Save Batch button and you will advance to the Vehicle Summary page.

VEHICLE SUMMARY PAGE

The Vehicle Summary Page is the list of material you have chosen for removal.

From this screen you can print the dismantling report and part tags to be given to the dismantler. The dismantling report can be printed with or without core prices.

CorePro uses your current tags and tag printers, however they will print out in a RAS specific format.

The first time you print tags you will be presented with the various tag options. Once you choose your tag style it will be saved as your default format and you will not have to choose a tag style again.

After you have printed your appropriate paperwork you can click on the Create New Vehicle Button, return to the memo page or log out.

MATERIAL REMOVAL

Screen Shot 6

IN PROGRESS PAGE

Once the vehicle has been taken apart and the dismantler has returned the paperwork indicating which parts were actually removed, you can now add the pieces to your RAS-BIN inventory. The typical RAS-BIN is considered to be a 48 cube Gaylord box where all the tagged cores you remove are placed.

To add the dismantled items to your RAS-BIN inventory you will have to verify their removal. To do so, click on the In Progress tab, locate the vehicle by batch, (which is your stock number) and click on the view link. This will bring you back to the Vehicle Summary page.

To accommodate the constantly changing market place we have allowed for a 21 day window to process a vehicle. If you have not processed the vehicle within the 21 day timeline, the view link will change to a re-evaluate link. By clicking on this link you will be returned to that vehicles evaluation page. Any parts you initially had chosen for removal will remain checked off and you will have to re-evaluate your decisions based on any new market prices and re-save the batch.

An overall dollar value is displayed for your entire “In Progress inventory.

VEHICLE SUMMARY PAGE / ADD TO RAS-BIN

Now that you have clicked the view button on the “In Progress page you are returned to the vehicle summary page. Click on the check all button if the dismantler removed all the parts he was asked to, or click only the pieces he indicates were removed.

Once you have verified that parts were removed and placed in the RAS-BIN, click the appropriate boxes. This will add the selected pieces to your RAS-BIN inventory, and advance you to your RAS-BIN screen.

Screen Shot 8

RAS-BIN INVENTORY

After being advanced from the Vehicle Summary page, you will be shown your current RAS-BIN inventory.

An overall dollar amount is displayed for your entire RAS-BIN inventory.

INVOICING AND SHIPPING

Screen Shot 9

RAS-BIN INVENTORY / INVOICING

Your RAS-BIN inventory is electronically monitored by your Salvage Sourcing Representative (SSR) at RAS. Your SSR will keep tabs on how much material is being added and will contact you to schedule a pick up when it appears that you have enough inventories for shipment.

If you find that your RAS-BIN has filled or that you have a great deal of material with value and you would like to have the material picked up, click on the RAS-BIN tab.

Click the check all button to choose all material currently in your RAS-BIN inventory. Once all batches have been checked click the “Create Invoice button to create an invoice. This will remove the inventory from your RAS-BIN and advance you to your Invoice Confirmation page.

Your SSR will be automatically notified electronically once you create your invoice. They will contact you with a Purchase Order Number and arrange for shipping at no cost to you.

Screen Shot 10

INVOICE CONFIRMATION PAGE

Much like invoice and batch posting in your Yard Management System, you need to confirm that you want to create an invoice before the material is removed from inventory.

You will be advanced to the Invoice Detail screen once you click the “Confirm Invoice button.

Screen Shot 11

INVOICE DETAIL

Here is a screen shot of the RAS invoice detail. As you can see in the upper right hand of the screen you have the ability to print a hard copy invoice and/or packing slip for your records.

Upon arrival at RAS, your material will be checked in using your stock number, invoice and packing slip. Upon completion of the check in you will be sent a reconciliation report and payment.

Screen Shot 12

INVOICE HISTORY

All of your invoice history will be kept on file for your convenience. If at any point you would like to view an invoice, click on the Invoices menu tab and choose the specific invoice you would like to view.
