F.A.Q.

WHAT IS COREPRO?
CorePro is a web based Vehicle Evaluation Service that provides the Automotive Recycling Industry with current core values on material using the industry standard Hollander Interchange.

HOW DOES COREPRO WORK?
Once logged into your specific CorePro account you are able to enter a Year, Make, Model, combination for a vehicle you are dismantling. Once this information is entered, a list of specific material for this vehicle will appear along with any core values, should the parts have value. You then have the ability to choose the items you would like to remove, print a report for your dismantler and utilize your existing Yard Management Tags to print tags for the parts you want removed. Once parts are removed you place them in your RAS BIN, verify their removal and the process is complete.

WHAT IS A RAS BIN?
A RAS BIN is a Gaylord box on top of a standard 48" x 40" wooden pallet, whose weight should not exceed 4000 lbs.

WHAT IF I CAN NOT LOCATE GAYLORD BOXES?
If you do not have access to 48" x 40" gaylord boxes and/or wooden pallets, RAS will send you a RAS BIN for the sole purpose of packing your order. You will be responsible for paying the freight on the material RAS will ship to you. This freight charge will be deducted from your material check-in when received by RAS. You will not be charged for the gaylord boxes as long as they are returned with material. RAS reserves the right to deduct $20.00 per box, for any box not returned with material.

WHY SHOULD I USE COREPRO?
It is our belief that by using CorePro you will realize an increase in core revenue while reducing your labor cost and reducing the amount of material you are removing. You remove only the material that is of value.

DO I HAVE TO USE AN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO USE COREPRO?
No. CorePro is a freestanding program that is not tied to any Inventory Management System, rather it is intended to meet the needs of all Automotive Recyclers.

HOW OFTEN DO CORE PRICES CHANGE?
Much like the value of salvage parts, core values are constantly changing. With CorePro, however, we are able to insure that once a part is removed and placed in your RAS BIN, you will receive whatever the price was at the time of evaluation, regardless of any future changes.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN TO CALL FOR A PICK UP?
Your core inventory will be monitored online by your Salvage Sourcing Representative (SSR) at RAS. Once they feel that the load is of the appropriate size for shipment they will contact you and begin the Purchase Order process. You can also call for a pick up at any time should you need the space etc.

WHO PAYS FOR SHIPPING?
RAS has agreed to pay for the shipping costs for all properly secured standard sized shipments. Standard sized shipments must be palletized, boxed, or crated and cannot exceed 48"x40"x52". Shipments cannot weigh more than 4000 lbs. RAS prefers all shipments in gaylord boxes, secured to a pallet and wrapped in plastic. Please indicate on your box, the NAME of your facility and the PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER issued to you by your RAS Savage Sourcing Representative.

HOW DO I GET PAID?
Prior to shipping the material you will be able to print an invoice for your records. Once the material is received at RAS and processed you will be sent a detailed check in report along with payment via the method of your choice, check, credit card, wire transfer etc.

WHO CAN I CONTACT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION?
Feel free to contact your personal SSR at 401.822.3030 or Click here to send us an email.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUR RAS BID PROGRAM TO USE CORE PRO?
Although we would encourage participation in all of our core purchasing programs, you do not have to be an active participant in the RAS BID program in order to use the CorePro software
